Yellow Grief kneels a female figure on both knees in a sunflower yellow frame, spine upright, face tilted slightly upward and sideward toward something above and to the left that is not in the frame and may not be in the room. She wears yellow lace and her skull paint is rendered in deep black, the reverse of the usual treatment, visible only in certain light, grief worn so quietly it reveals itself differently depending on where you stand. From the very top of the frame, a single yellow ribbon descends toward her without arriving, the comfort still on its way. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag. A quietly devastating Nigerian painting about grief and the comfort that is always almost here. Available at Naija Art Store.
