Transaction places a single African masquerade figure before an ATM machine, back three-quarters to the camera, one hand on the keypad entering a PIN with the focused intensity that everyone recognises from their own banking moments. The elaborate raffia and coloured cloth of the masquerade’s costume spills around the flat white machine. On the ATM screen, visible over the masquerade’s shoulder, the account balance has exceeded what the display was built to show, the number running off the edges. A Giclée mixed media fine art print on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag, this witty and visually striking Nigerian painting is limited to just 20 prints worldwide. A standout piece of fine art for modern collectors who appreciate cultural intelligence delivered with a perfectly straight face. Available at Naija Art Store.
