The Long Walk moves five figures in a loose single file from left to right across the full width of a blazing cadmium yellow frame, each at a slightly different depth, staggered forward and back to create natural three-dimensionality. All five wear different traditional Nigerian and African dress and all five are mid-stride, right leg forward, gaze directed ahead toward the right of the frame. None looks back. None looks at the camera. Behind all five, their shadows stretch leftward to the full remaining width of the frame, each shadow longer than it should be, as if the shadows have been walking longer than the bodies that cast them.
