The Long Table seats eight figures along a table that runs the full horizontal width of a blazing hot pink frame, four on each side, all in different traditional African dress, all in the full and unselfconscious act of communal eating. One reaches across the table, one laughs with the head slightly back, one pours from a jug, one listens with head tilted, one gestures mid-speech with a spoon. Above them all, an inverted duplicate of the same table floats upside down in the pink air, set identically, an invisible feast mirroring the visible one.
