The Ìpòrí Knows draws from the Yoruba metaphysical concept of the ori, the personal deity residing within the crown of the head, presenting a seated female figure with both hands raised to touch the very top of her own head, fingers spread, in the posture of receiving a transmission from within. She wears deeply layered gold brocade fabric, the textile swallowing light around her. From each of her ten fingertips where they touch her crown, a thin beam of gold light ascends, ten separate vertical columns of light rising to the top of the frame. This luminous mixed media African painting is Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag, limited to just 20 prints worldwide. A spiritually precise piece of fine art rooted in Yoruba metaphysics, available at Naija Art Store for serious collectors of culturally significant work.
