Sovereignty places a single male figure at the exact centre of a blazing crimson red frame, equal red space stretching to both sides, wearing a full agbada in deep crimson that nearly absorbs into the background so that only his charcoal skin, gold embroidery, and coral bead strand remain distinct. He faces the camera with feet together, arms at sides, spine vertical, every axis of the body in perfect alignment. Nothing is being proved. Nobody is being addressed. At the far edges of the frame, the red background pulses with faint geometric patterns that thin toward the margins, the space most saturated where it is closest to him. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind anywhere in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag. An iconic Nigerian painting that defines any wall it occupies. Available exclusively at Naija Art Store.
