Ojú Ikú, meaning The Face of Death, seats an elder male figure in a carved wooden throne-chair against a Prussian blue background, both hands gripping the armrests, back straight, head level and directed at the camera in the full formal authority of someone who receives everyone eventually and has long since stopped being dramatic about it. His agbada is deep Prussian blue, nearly absorbed into the background, and his skull paint is in electric blue, slightly brighter, so the skull is visible as a subtle tonal shift rather than a declaration. On the floor before his feet, a neat row of shoes of different sizes, styles, and ages are arranged as if their owners simply stepped out of them. He collects the shoes. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag.
