Oja Masquerade places a single colourful African masquerade figure in the posture of a market trader, one hand on hip, the other extended toward the viewer with the palm open and upward, presenting goods for sale. The posture is completely ordinary market-trader body language inhabited by an extraordinary figure, the sacred doing commerce on a blazing orange background. In the open palm being extended toward us, the goods on offer are a single glowing orb of pure white light. Not a product. Just light, offered at market price. This witty and visually joyful mixed media African painting is Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag, issued as a limited edition of only 20 prints worldwide. A fine art piece that delights and provokes in equal measure, available exclusively at Naija Art Store.
