Ofo Na Ogu, meaning Righteousness and Justice in the Igbo tradition, stands an elder male figure with absolute verticality against a blood red background, spine straight, head level, feet together, holding a traditional ofo stick at his side in a firm grip. He wears a white isiagu tunic with a deep red wrapper that nearly disappears into the background. The shadow the ofo stick casts on the red wall behind him is not the shadow of a stick. It is the shadow of a full-grown tree, branched and rooted and enormous, the shadow of what the small ancestral object contains within it. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind anywhere in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag. A formally commanding Nigerian painting about truth, authority, and the weight of small sacred things. Available at Naija Art Store.
