Market Crossing moves seven figures mid-crossing across a vivid tangerine orange horizontal frame, each at a genuinely different stage of crossing the same invisible Lagos street. A market woman with a cloth bundle on her head, a schoolchild, a man in agbada, a danfo conductor, a woman in corporate dress, a bread seller, a phone repairer, all walking in the same direction at natural unhurried Lagos paces, none acknowledging the others, each entirely their own world. All seven shadows fall not behind them but forward, ahead of the bodies, as if the city’s future is already lit from behind. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind anywhere in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag. A cinematic Nigerian painting that brings the full democratic energy of Lagos to any wall it inhabits. Available at Naija Art Store.
