Ile Wa, meaning Our Home, gathers four figures in a tight group facing away from the camera and looking out into the frame, two adults at the back and two children in front, arranged the way a family stands in a doorway looking out at the world. All four wear different ethnic dress traditions simultaneously, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and Maasai, standing together as a single unit. Beneath all four pairs of feet, a single root system spreads across the floor, connecting all four figures through the soles of their feet to a common underground as if they share the same root despite their different colours and traditions. This is a one of one original piece, the only work of its kind in the world, a mixed media fine art work of photography and digital art, Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag. A pan-African painting of belonging and shared origin. Available at Naija Art Store.
