Hankali, the Hausa word for patience and the quality most highly prized in that tradition, seats an elderly male figure on a flat stone in a pristine white babban riga and white rawani turban, hands folded loosely in his lap, head very slightly bowed. Around him on the floor, at various distances from his body, multiple hourglasses of different sizes stand and run, all at different stages. None of them appear to concern him in the slightest. He is outside their jurisdiction. This serene mixed media fine art print is Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag and limited to just 20 prints in the world. A quietly authoritative Nigerian painting about the power that patience becomes when it has been practised long enough, available at Naija Art Store and ideal as framed art for any space that values stillness.
