Enkipolos II, drawing from the Maasai adamu jumping ceremony, lines four young male Moran figures in a perfectly straight horizontal row against a pre-dawn navy background, all equidistant, all facing forward with feet together and arms at sides in identical postures of stillness at the threshold. All four wear matching red shuka wraps and matching bead necklaces. Above each of their four heads at the same height, a single white egret feather floats, one per man, all at the same level, placed there by the ceremony before the jump has begun.
