Buka Table seats three figures at a shared low table, an older man, a young woman, and a middle-aged market woman, each from a visibly different social background, all leaning toward the same pot of soup placed in the centre. No one looks at the camera. The shared posture of eating is the entire subject. Above the table, the steam from the central pot rises and forms the shape of a larger table in the air, invisible guests at a feast that has more seats than the room can hold. This warm and democratising mixed media fine art print is Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag and limited to just 20 prints in the world. A celebratory Nigerian painting about the equality that food insists on, regardless of what anyone brought to the table. Available at Naija Art Store.
