Agaba Agaba brings two Igbo Agaba warrior masquerade figures into close confrontation at the centre of a blood orange frame, chests nearly touching, each in a wide grounded stance, each leaning slightly toward the other in the tension of two equal forces that have met and recognised each other. Their outside arms hang at their sides. Between their bodies, their inside forearms are raised and pressed together, wrist to wrist, neither pushing nor yielding. At the point of contact, a single brilliant white flame burns upright and still, generated not by either figure alone but by the meeting of the two. This powerful mixed media African painting is Giclée printed on museum quality 310gsm Textured Fine Art Cotton Rag, limited to just 20 prints worldwide. A striking piece of fine art that brings the ritual energy of Igbo warrior tradition to any wall it occupies.
